What did you learn this week in class that you applied to your magazine project?
This week I really feel like I became comfortable with InDesign. I definitely utilize my templates that I drew out several weeks ago to help me start. From there I got creative, manipulating my sketches to how I wanted them to be on InDesign. I took a long time to figure out how to format my paragraphs so that’s a major thing I learned this week that has helped me out tremendously.
What questions do you still have about the magazine layout project?
I am still unsure about how to drag images into my magazine because everytime I do, the image is enlarged by a lot and I can’t seem to get it down to scale. However, I plan to ask about this today in class so I can wrap up my first draft of my magazine!
What has been your favorite part of this process so far? Least favorite?
My favorite part of the process so far has been coming up with color palette. I feel like that is where my magazine really got some life put into it!
This week's visuals:
While I don't think this would work for my own personal table of contents page, I loved the way Kaleid Arts Culture Magazine connected both pages to make one big visual.
