This Week's Writing Prompt:

I think it is incredibly beneficial to sketch out my ideas. You can take existing content and tweak it to make it personalized to your style and content. I think sketching 10 versions of everything was great because it allowed me to change small details in every version until I was content. By having sketches of the cover, content, and layout I was also able to hold up the three versions that were my favorite to see how they looked together and if they seemed succinct. So far I prefer inDesign to Photoshop because I feel like it is more user friendly. I’m sure if I become more familiar with all of the tools in Photoshop then I would like it, but there seems to be a big learning curve with the software.
